Foreword
Rabithah Alawiyyah, as the organization that records the descendants of
the Ba‘alawi in Indonesia, should be held responsible to its members
regarding the severed Ba‘alawi lineage. Instead, the organization chose to
"assign" a team called the "Team to Guard Ummah Unity" (Tim Pengawal
Persatuan Umat) to produce a book titled "Keabsahan Nasab Ba‘alwi
Membongkar Penyimpangan Pembatalnya" (The Validity of the Ba'alawi
Lineage: Exposing the Deviations of its Nullifiers), without making any
mention of Rabithah Alawiyyah. This book serves as a response to the
author's thesis that the Ba‘alawi clan are not descendants of the Prophet
Muhammad SAW.
The author's thesis is presented in several books
and articles written in both Arabic and Indonesian. The author’s books in
Indonesian concerning the nullification of the Ba‘alawi lineage are:
- Menakar Kesahihan Nasab Habib di Indonesia: Sebuah Penelitian Ilmiyah (Measuring the Authenticity of the Habib Lineage in Indonesia: A Scientific Research) – October 2022
- Terputusnya Nasab Habib Kepada Nabi Muhammad SAW (Penyempurnaan dari Buku Menakar Kesahihan Nasab Habib di Indonesia) (The Broken Lineage of the Habibs to the Prophet Muhammad SAW [A Refinement of the Book 'Measuring the Authenticity of the Habib Lineage in Indonesia']) – May 2023

- Kronik Perjalanan Ilmiyah K.H. Imaduddin Utsman Al-Bantani Dalam Mengungkap Nasab Palsu Ba‘alwi (The Chronicle of the Scientific Journey of K.H. Imaduddin Utsman Al-Bantani in Uncovering the Fabricated Ba‘alawi Lineage) – May 2024

- Manuskrip-Manuskrip Palsu Ba‘alwi Versi Rumail Abbas (Fabricated Ba‘alawi Manuscripts: Rumail Abbas' Version) – September 2024
Meanwhile, the author's books presenting the thesis on the nullification of the Ba‘alawi lineage written in Arabic are:
- Al-Mawahib al-Laduniyyah fi Inqita' Nasab Ba‘alwi bin Ubaidillah – Dzulqa'dah 1444 AH
- I'anat al-Akhyar fi Jawab al-Syekh Muhammad Abdillah Mukhtar – Muharram 1445 AH
- Kashf al-Fadihah al-Ilmiyyah li nasab wa tarikh Ba'alwi (An Arabic translation of the book Membongkar Skandal Ilmiyah Genealogi dan Sejarah Ba‘alwi) – February 2024
- Al-Ma'arif al-Rabbaniyyah fi Hifdz Nuthfat al-Nabawiyyah – Rabi‘ al-Awwal 1446 AH
In 2023, the publisher "Oncor Semesta Ilmu" in Jogjakarta published an
anthology of the author's books and texts titled: Habaib Keturunan Nabi
Benarkah (Politik Identitas-Pengaruh-Keagungan) (Are the Habibs
Descendants of the Prophet?: Identity Politics, Influence, and
Nobility).
Several books have been written to answer the
author's thesis, in both Indonesian and Arabic. Among these books are:
- Al-Radd fi Man Yunkiru Ansab Sadat Ba'alwi, 5 pages, written by Amjad bin Salim bin Abdullah Abu Futaim bin Syekh Abubakar bin Salim from Tarim – Ramadan 1444 AH
- Konektifitas Rijalul Hadits Dengan Sejarah Dalam Menelusuri Nasab (The Connectivity of Rijal al-Hadith with History in Tracing Lineage), 77 pages, written by Dr. Ja'far Assegaf – March 2023

- Al-Husam al-Maslul Fi ‘Unuqi Man Abthala Silsilat Dzurriyyat Al-rasul Abi Fatimah al-Batul, by K.H. Muhammad Abdullah Mukhtar, Sukabumi
- Menakar Kesahihan Pembatalan Ba‘alwi (Measuring the Accuracy of the Ba'alawi Nullification), 53 pages, written by Rumail Abbas (Stakof) – December 2023
- Ihya al-Mawta, by K.H. Qurtubi, Lebak – Muharram 1446 AH
- Keabsahan Nasab Ba‘alwi Membongkar Penyimpangan Pembatalnya, 521 pages, written by the Team to Guard Ummah Unity: Hanif Alatas et al. (Rabithah Alawiyyah).
This final book appears to be the ultimate stronghold of the Ba‘alawi clan
in countering the nullification of their lineage. The book now in the
hands of the reader will address the contents of that publication. Many
propositions in this volume are intentionally reiterated by the author,
response by response, to counter identical propositions repeated in the
book by Hanif et al. Happy reading.
